These were fun and easy to follow building projects. My 6 year old followed it by himself and he loved it. I love that it was easy to sign up and easy to leave. What I didn’t like is, it’s the cheapest material possible. It was too expensive for the material to be that flimsy and such low quality. Other than that it was fun and the process was simple.

He loved getting something in the mail just for him and then assembling and learning how science works and how these kits apply in real life. This review is for our trial kit for physics. We just completed the luminescence. I have two neurodiverse children, including one that is nonverbal. They both were mesmerized by this kit. I loved the explanation of molecules, protons, luminescence, fluorescence and phosphorescence. I wish I had these kits when I was younger. I also just received a medical kit for the first time. We have not tried it yet. I thought I was getting therapy but instead received urinalysis. That is kind of a rough one to introduce a kid to, and I did message the company about it today, but we will see how it goes.

I’ve been a subscriber to MEL Science for quite some time now, and so far, I’ve received 11 boxes covering various topics in chemistry and physics. I’m extremely satisfied with my decision to choose this subscription. With a MSc degree and a Ph.D. in biochemistry, I’m well-versed in these subjects, and I specifically chose MEL Science to introduce my children to the world of science. I’m genuinely impressed by how effectively the principles of chemistry and physics are communicated through their products. The experiments are relatively simple and quick to perform, but they are also fun and engaging, allowing us to put into practice concepts that often remain theoretical in textbooks.
I would love to meet the people behind these projects and personally commend them, as it takes both passion and expertise to create such educational and enjoyable products. Moreover, the cost of the subscription includes shipping, which I find very reasonable. I live in Europe, and on two occasions when I had to pay for shipping because the products were coming from outside the EU, MEL Science demonstrated great integrity and honesty by reimbursing me within an hour of notifying their customer service.
Overall, I highly recommend this product and encourage skeptics to give it a try. I’ve been thoroughly pleased with it. In the worst-case scenario, you can opt for a monthly subscription, which you can cancel or pause at any time.
